4 teames qualified to play at the chessZ All-Ireland finals from Galway today ..
Briarhill N.S. are the new Galway girl champions after winning against Craughwell N.S. on a count-back. Both teams got through to the final after tough opposition from Claregalway, Scoil Ide and Clairnbridge girls teams.
In the boys division Claregalway N.S. won another very close final against Bushy Park N.S. to claim the title of Galway Schools champions , both teams make it to the All-Irelands in Limerick on May 10th. Geal Scoil Knocknacarra , Clairnbridge , Briarhill and Craughwell made the qualifiers really competitive and on another day we could have had another 2 equally good finalists.
