U-16 Champions– Ballinasloe
Current and multiple All-Ireland champions ( Ballinasloe ) were convincing county winners against 2 new teams to this section. Claregalway and Knocknacarra took the first steps towards u-16 chess and they enjoyed the chance to measure up against the best in Ireland.
2nd – Claregalway 
Some of last years U-12 county champions (Claregalway) made the step up to U-16 this year in the hope of more success in Galway.
3rd – Knocknacarra
Some of these young team still qualify for U-12 section next year ..
U-12 Champions – Ballinasloe
Ballinasloe recaptured their county championship besting the current holders in the first round 3-2 and then winning an exciting final against a talented Craughwell team again by a margin of 3-2.
2nd – Craughwell
Craughwell moved up from 4th last year to a very competitive 2nd this time around.
3rd – Clairnbridge
Having lost their top 3 players form last year Clairnbridge again showed strongly to finish in the medals again this year.
Congratulations to all involved .. managers, parents, players and of course the orgainisers of the community games. Well done all.
